Elizabeth “Beth” Weeden
“My philosophy is that effective communication and attention to detail are the cornerstones of successful legal representation. Through hard work and clear communication about all options available I am able to efficiently resolve my client’s problems.”
Beth has practiced workers’ compensation defense for 28 years and has been with Lee Smith & Associates since July 1992. Beth has extensive experience representing self-insured, state fund and public employers in all aspects of their workers’ compensation programs, including claims defense, policy coverage issues and safety violation claims.
Beth regularly argues cases at all administrative levels before the Ohio Industrial Commission and before the adjudicating bodies of the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. Beth has also successfully argued cases in the Ohio Courts of Appeal and the Ohio Supreme Court.
Beth has been an invited speaker at various Ohio Safety Council meetings on the topic of workers’ compensation. She provides direct training to employers, Third Party Administrators and their staffs regarding how to successfully defend an Ohio Workers’ Compensation claim from the defense attorney perspective.
